God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! (Ephesians 3.20)
God is awesome! I’m sort of bowled over with what God has been doing on the streets locally and beyond since Easter 2005. We’ve seen amazing healings on the streets, but what has been grabbing my attention lately has been the in-between untold stories, the impact of God touched lives.
Here’s an example. Barbara came to us recently for prayer on the streets. She came with her friend’s mother who had severe psoriasis. Barbara was suffering from alopecia and was wearing a headscarf to hide three large bald patches on her head. Even with the scarf on you could see she didn’t have much hair. We prayed for both of them and they left.
A month later Barbara returned without a scarf and a full head of hair to tell us this story. Her hair grew back within three weeks!
Three weeks after she had received prayer Barbara met and shared with her friend what had happened to her. Her friend replied that her mother had also been completely healed!
It’s bad enough when a man loses his hair, but for any woman it’s a serious matter. Over those three weeks I can imagine Barbara looking expectantly into the mirror every morning and seeing shoots of hair springing up on her bald patches! Her faith growing with her hair. Can you imagine the conversations she’s had with family and friends? Can you imagine the impact God has made to her life?
