Sue's story
I began to have trouble with my right hip towards the end of 1990. It gradually worsened and after a few years an orthopaedic consultant at the local hospital confirmed it was osteo arthritis and I would need surgery later as I was ‘too young’ at the time. (I was 50 plus). He further advised me to use a walking stick.
In 1977 I came to know the Lord in a most real way and a few weeks later was baptised, and have followed Him ever since.
In 2001 I went for a Dexa scan which determined I had osteoporosis which affected my spine and was also present in the arthritic hip joint. I had also lost 2 inches in height. The pain from both diseases reduced my walking ability to a rather slow pace. In 2003 I heard words that I believe were meant for me concerning my healing.
On Saturday 24th March 2007 I went into Inverness town centre to encourage and witness “Healing on the Streets”, and decided to go for healing for myself. I sat down on a vacant chair and two ladies, members of the team, asked what I wanted them to pray for. I asked for prayers for my hip and my back. They checked out the length of my legs and found my left leg was slightly shorter than my right. They prayed over me and my left leg grew to the same length as the other and I felt a tingling sensation in the lower part of my left leg. They carried on to pray, with a tone of authority, for my hip and laid hands on it and I felt a deep down warmth in it. They went on to pray for my back which began to feel easier. They asked if I felt any better and although I did it was difficult to tell if the healing had been successful just standing there; so I decided to go for a walk through town without using my walking stick, to test the healing. It was wonderful to walk without relying on a support and at a normal pace!
When I returned to the Healing area I told them the healing had been successful! I just thanked God for His grace and mercy. Then I jumped up and down on the spot and rushed up and down the big staircase inside the shopping centre…and I’m still walking. Praise Almighty God!
