Ashley was in obvious pain as she stood with her family watching us. They had travelled from Bushmills to do their shopping.
We approached them and asked if anyone needed healing. Ashley told us what had happened to her. A week earlier she had been vacuuming her bedroom floor when she stepped backwards and tripped on her quilt. She hit her back as she fell.
She woke up the following morning in agony and hardly able to move. Her condition had not improved much.
Ashley walked slowly to our chairs, every step evidently painful. She gently lowered herself onto the chair and perched at an angle, unable to sit straight. The grimace on her face told us the battle she was going through.
Ashley’s family followed her to the chair.
God poured his love and presence all over Ashley. She was instantly healed.
She looked at her mother in amazement and shock as she stood up saying, “I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it, it’s gone, it’s gone!” She flexed her body testing out her healing.
The family left visibly moved.
Twenty minutes later they returned. Ashley’s grandmother said “She really is healed; Ashley was dancing in the street!” Ashley’s mother then said, “I’d like some prayer please, I’ve been trying to quit smoking for years.”
The team prayed and the family left. Two weeks later Ashley’s mother returned. “Remember me?” she said. “I was a chronic smoker for thirty years and tried to give up. I haven’t touched or needed a cigarette for the last two weeks!”
The following week Ashley’s nephew came for healing. “I believe” he said. “My aunt had a pile of boils on her back. They disappeared when she was healed of her back pain!”
The following week three friends of Ashley’s mother came asking for prayer to stop smoking also. They were convinced God could help them after they saw the change in her life.
