I went along to the healing on the streets training, because our youngest daughter wanted to train for it. In my mind I thought that it could be used in the format of the house groups. I really had no experience of laying hands on the sick and praying that they would be healed.
When I went to the training on the first night, I was completely in shock as people were healed when we asked the Holy Spirit to come and touch them. I was also amazed to see people falling over, laughing, and sometimes shaking when they were prayed for.
I was so excited by this 1st night, I was so glad when the 2nd training night arrived. More of the same took place and I was amazed again. Now the crunch came when we were told that this ministry was being taken to the streets of Coleraine every Saturday morning.
The first morning I was a bit fearful, but that was quickly forgotten because when we prayed for people God turned up and touched their lives.
My faith has increased beyond belief because we pray knowing that God does it all by sending his Holy Spirit to heal people.
